Do you want to use innovation to make a difference in the life an adorable dog, cat, rabbit?  In this course, students will become animal behaviorists and toy inventors as they design  enrichment toys for a local animal rescue charity. Our animal rescue partner has identified several pets that would benefit from unique enrichment toys that engage their curiosity, keep them active, and promote mental stimulation as they await adoption. Students will learn about the role of enrichment toys, using their creativity to design functional, fun toys that will enhance the lives of these rescue animals. The focus will be on empathy, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary concepts as they explore how to meet the needs of various pets at the rescue. All toys will be given to the animal rescue charity for the pets waiting for adoption.
