Unleash your imagination and dive freely into the uncharted depths of the ocean. In this 6-week course, students will learn to utilize design thinking principles, combining blue sky thinking and divergent thinking learning the power of ideation, creation, and iteration all while building fantastical deep-sea creatures that could exist in the darkest parts of our planet. Using fabrication methods to design cam mechanisms, they’ll bring these imagined lifeforms to life as moving kinetic sculptures—learning how to lead with inquiry, fail forward like an engineer, and thinking creatively, like an artist.
