Guardians of Nature

Have you ever felt like the Earth was calling you to protect it? In this exciting and interactive course, you'll meet real-life Guardians-people from Indigenous, African, and Afro-descendant communities- who protect forests, rivers, animals, and sacred places. You will learn how being a Guardian means taking care of nature with love, respect and deep knowledge of place-not by locking it away, but by living with it. We will explore how Guardians fight climate change, protect endangered animals and plants and stand up for their communities. Together we will design a mural exploring how humans can act as Guardians, creating one unified artwork celebrating stewardship and responsibility.

For a full day camp experience, consider joining a morning camp: "Chemistry on Your Plate" or "Shell Shocked: Engineering the Fall". Full day student are required to bring water bottle, nut-free snacks and nut-free lunch.
