Term Break Camp

Time: 9-12
Ages: 8-13
Limit: 10 Students

Enter a world of secrets, symbols, and hidden messages. In CipherCraft, students don’t just learn the science of espionage—they design it. In this hands-on, interdisciplinary course, learners become game designers, historians, and codebreakers as they build their own playable cipher-based puzzle games.Drawing from ancient encryption methods like Caesar shifts, scytales, and steganography, students create immersive experiences where players must crack codes to uncover stories, unlock secret compartments, and solve narrative-driven missions. Central to each game is a 3D-printed puzzle box, designed and fabricated by the students, containing key clues or the final prize.
The experience culminates in a CipherCraft Game Fair, where players step into the worlds students have created, racing to decode messages, unlock puzzles, and reveal hidden truths.
In CipherCraft, every student is both designer and decoder—blending creativity, storytelling, engineering, and cryptography into an unforgettable game of secrets.
